Positive Review of Asilomar Conference Grounds

I truly enjoyed my time at Asilomar Conference Grounds and had a very special stay during my road trip. the food served was good, and the brand-new, modern units offered a gorgeous view along with a separate toilet. the staff were amiable, contributing to a wonderful experience. the excellent and unbeatable location on the central coast was a fantastic highlight of my visit.

Had fine stay during a road trip with helpful staff and perfect location very close to nature. We loved fine food. We had the standard double room which was brand-new and functional with kingsize bed.

I had a really nice stay during my road trip. the room was fantastic and quite spacious, plus it had a cozy fireplace and coffee available. ☕.

Great experience there. Heated pool, appropriate rooms with a view. Unbeatable and brilliant location on the Monterey peninsula, and only about 20 minutes' walk to Pacific Grove centre.

I had an appropriate room with every bedroom, a double bed, a fireplace. The location on the coast was brilliant and impressive.

The food offered a great variety of options, and the location was excellent. the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the entire stay, making for a pleasant experience. Plus, it was conveniently located near the paths on the sand dunes and a beautiful hillside.

Old faucets. The sink that's clogged. Very wet first night. We didn't have any blankets, just sheets. But they rectified it the second night by adding blankets... It would be more appreciated if they added some more pillows.

Quiet and Not Crowded

No dining, pool, bike rental or open store due to Covid Restrictions. coffee shop had very limited hours.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere. the location is fantastic, conveniently situated near Cannery Row on one side and the scenic 17 Mile Drive on the other. You can enjoy stunning views of the ocean, beach, and coastline. the double room was spacious and quiet, complete with a cozy fireplace.

The frame. The wood of the buildings. The wooden armchairs in front of the rooms or in front of the large reception room inviting to rest, to observe the landscape/nature, to meditate. The large reception room with the large fireplace. The proximity of the beach, its access made so pleasant by the wooden path ("bordwalk"). The possibility of hiking, walking on the "bordwalk" and access to the sublime coastal road "17-Mile Drive". The possibility to drink a coffee or avoid the buffet by ordering in the small restaurant area. The atmosphere in a more general way, the frequentation of the place by people coming for professional reasons.

No kettle in the rooms to heat water, drink coffee, tea or herbal tea. The absence of curtain or partition in front of the washbasin to change clothes. The absence of sockets on lamps to charge your phone (the absence of USB port as it exists in most hotel rooms).

This venue offers peaceful accommodation with a stunning location, just a short distance from Cannery Row and the 17 Mile Drive, surrounded by the beauty of California.

Quiet. Family accommodation. Original vintage style and equipment partly in its juice. Lodging reminiscent of the VVF style, but designed by a renowned pre-war (the first) architect.

High price for an original but standard service in terms of comfort.
